Okay. Very good. Thanks for the memory massage. That's about what I had in mind. It sounds like vital oil supplies would transit the area, then.

The tragedy of the bombing/burning of Dresden probably had some similar rationales, then, I suspect.

A German told me they used horses on the WWII Eastern front, and I just saw some film of Red Chinese around 1950 relying on hayburners plus doctrinal fervor, too.
