I would be interested to see some input/massage on this topic in the TT Religion venue:

I answered Angus at TT Evo today, but the software is grumpy. (=Lucky Skeptic Darrel).

Answer to Angus:

Subject: Bioengineering OUT the allergy causing substances. Dark ages & dark continent

Angus:"After the green revolution created cheap bread and rice around the world, health care workers began to discover allergies to wheat and white rice. "

(Giggle) The spread of rice and wheat use into populations that did not traditionally eat and die from the allergies is part of the picture, IMO. Don't forget, "us" "Europeans" are unfairly but Darwinially (created?) more resistant to (?) HIV because of the terrible Black Death, the plagues of the Dark Ages. So named "dark ages" in part ***because*** of such things as these diseases arising because of increased movement and trade, burgeoning in dried cod from Norwegians who even got narcississtically mentioned by Alfred the Great in his 800s A.D. (C.E.)annals.

The perplexing problem with African predisposition to reproduce and produce children they can't properly nurture is compounded by this enticing genetic modified crops that they can't ?ever afford.

Summary 1.0: With or without religion, with out being able to afford modern technology, sub Saharan Africa, except for South Africa doesn't (artificially) light up on satellite (high tech) imagery. The way out of these traps is mainly in their own free-will hands, IMO.

Angus:"Today our populations are workaholic and increasingly depression and drug addicted. "

Damn that high technology that gives us the 36 or 40 hour work week. (sarcasm)

Angus:As Gandhi used to say in the country of my birth, India: "We must be the change we want to bring about in the world.

So, Gandhi disciples are ***still*** needed in Africa, and in reactionary corners of modern "social solution" India as well. I think technology is the hope, if not really realistically promising to overcome human inertia and so on..... Start with free condoms paid for by the genetic crop modification companies that demonstrate how intelligent design can work, and actually profit from the over-population the most, and give us the strange tasting red only in color tomato, never meant by G-d for consumption by humans?
