I remember when mechanical bulls first started appearing in bars. Before you could ride one you had to sign a waiver releasing the bar of any liability for your death or maiming. It was one of those things that said, "I acknowledge that I have been made aware what I am about to do will probably injure me but I alone am responsible for my actions." Perhaps some churches should consider such a waiver before they accept members.
