Yes, there is a pervasive thing among Bible Belt Christians that focuses attention on innocence, while at the same time being paranoid about the result.
The mining of innocence to advance erotica is endemic in American Cultural Media. We regularly hear 35 yr. old women call talk radio with the voice of a pubescent. The cat like sex voice on TV news,weather,comment. and advertising capitalizes on juvenile sexuality. The American cultural sexuality thrives on 'youth'. Oh,sweet little Barbie with shaved bikini line. Youth sex cultural focus screws the child's perception of place, as it thrusts the pubescent into the sexual arena of looks,status,sexiness,and fulfillment of desire.
Let's face it - the children of today have far more sexual preoccupation than they did 40 years ago. This is the result of adult meddling and manipulation toward market share.
